Fredric Snitzer Gallery is pleased to announce the exhibition We Are All in
the
Gutter, but Some of Us Are Looking at the Stars, by Beatriz Monteavaro. In
this exhibition Monteavaro will examine the relationships between Ancient
Egypt, Elizabeth Taylor's Cleopatra, Charlton Heston's Ten Commandments, Universal
Studios Mummy Movies, The Situationists, McLaren and Westwood's Sex Shop,
The English Punk Rock Scene, 2001 a Space Odyssey, and Jack Horkheimer The
Star Hustler, and how they relate to the Miami Art Scene. This exhibition
will include painting, drawing, installation and sculpture.
